Disclosure
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Using AjoHive carries real risks — whether you protect your capital or put it to work. Please read this disclosure carefully and in full before depositing. By using AjoHive you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these risks.
1. What AjoHive does and does not promise
AjoHive does not promise any return for depositing. Protect earns nothing and keeps your capital out of market liquidity. Produce earns only from trading fees paid by people using the liquidity, and those earnings are never guaranteed.
Neither path guarantees the dollar value of your holdings, and neither is a bank deposit.
2. Asset price risk
Protect keeps the amount of the asset you chose — 1 BTC remains 1 BTC — but not its dollar value. ETH and BTC are volatile, and their prices can fall sharply and stay low for long periods. The same applies to the assets held by a Productive vault.
3. Liquidity provision risk (Produce)
A Productive vault provides liquidity to markets. As traders buy and sell, the mix of assets in the position changes. When prices move significantly, the position can be worth less than simply holding the original assets, and trading fees may not make up the difference. You can lose part of the value you deposit into Produce.
Concentrated liquidity earns more while prices stay within its range and earns nothing outside it. Range management reduces, but does not remove, this risk.
4. Activity risk
Produce returns depend entirely on how much the liquidity is used. If trading volume falls, fees fall with it, and there may be long periods with little or no return.
5. Smart contract and infrastructure risk
AjoHive’s vaults, its Liquidity Manager and the AjoHive Hook are smart contracts, and Produce relies on third-party market infrastructure, including Uniswap v4. Despite careful design and review, smart contracts may contain undiscovered flaws, and a flaw or exploit — in AjoHive’s contracts or in infrastructure it depends on — could cause partial or total loss of funds. Deployed contracts can be difficult or impossible to change.
6. Stablecoin risk
USDG is designed to track the US dollar, but that depends on its issuer maintaining adequate reserves and honouring redemptions. Stablecoins have lost their peg in the past, especially in periods of market stress. A de-peg would reduce the dollar value of USDG held in either path.
7. Withdrawal and liquidity risk
Produce withdrawals are paid from the liquidity buffer where possible. If many withdrawals arrive together, or markets are under stress, the vault may need to remove liquidity first, which can take longer and may realise losses. Emergency controls may also pause new activity or delay withdrawals to protect the system.
8. Price reference and market risk
AjoHive relies on outside price references and on the behaviour of other markets. Inaccurate prices, market manipulation or extreme volatility elsewhere can affect AjoHive’s markets and the value of Productive vaults.
9. Operational and counterparty risk
AjoHive depends on third-party services such as Privy for sign-in, blockchain networks, and hosting providers. An outage or failure at any of them could interrupt access to AjoHive for a time.
10. Regulatory risk
Rules governing digital assets are developing quickly in Nigeria and around the world. New laws or regulatory action could require AjoHive to change or restrict its products, limit access in some places, or stop operating in certain jurisdictions, sometimes with little notice.
11. Private beta risk
The new AjoHive wallet is in private beta. Features may change, be limited or contain errors while it is being tested.
12. No deposit insurance and no advice
AjoHive is not a bank. Your holdings are not covered by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) or any other deposit protection scheme. Nothing AjoHive publishes is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Only deposit what you can afford to hold in digital assets, and seek independent advice if you are unsure.
